According to the law, in the event of a road collision and provided that certain conditions are met, drivers are required to move their vehicles from the accident scene to a nearby safe location.

❗ When vehicles must NOT be moved
Vehicles must remain at the scene if any of the following applies:
- There is an
- An uninsured vehicle is involved.
- A government vehicle is involved.
- A driver has left the scene.
👉 In these cases, remain at the scene and follow the instructions given by the Motor Assistance Service.
🚗 When vehicles must be moved
If none of the above applies, and:
▪️The vehicles can be moved safely (without towing and without causing further damage), and
▪️Their presence creates a danger or obstructs traffic.
👉 then the vehicles must be moved to a nearby safe location.
Before moving the vehicles, you must:
1. Exchange details with the other drivers involved (full name, insurance policy number, driving licence number, vehicle registration number, and telephone number).
2. Take photographs showing:
▪️The position of the vehicles before they are moved.
▪️The vehicle registration plates.
▪️The damage to each vehicle.
▪️The overall view of the scene (road, signage, surrounding conditions).
❗ Make sure the photographs relate only to the accident and the damage, avoiding the capture of unnecessary personal data.
